Mother of Pearl

Maia Norman, the wife of artist Damien Hirst, opened a pop-up shop next to Sotherby's last night on Old Bond Street. The shop, housed in a temporary boutique, will showcase and sell her latest collection for label Mother of Pearl. Featuring prints from artist Jim Lambie, she told Vogue "I've been a fan of Jim's for a number of years and he was a delight to work with. I love his musical references - there's just so much about his work that translates easily to fashion - and he has a great sensibility. Like art, the pieces are special; they're not throwaway images like any other floral print. You only live once, as far as I know, so I like to wear something that feels totally special."
