Day 2 London Fashion Week- Simone Rocha

Yesterday, one-to-watch, Simone Rocha showcased her Autumn/Winter 2012 collection at the Embankment Galleries at Somerset House. With her father, John Rocha, taking pride of place in the front row, the audience were treated to a show embodying androgynous minimalism and modern feminity. The NEWGEN sponsored designer showed delicate sheer lace structured garments alongside futuristic metallic leather jackets and miniskirts. Towards the end, the collection became more textured with crochet, hand knitted collars and shaggy wool dresses. However, I think what got everyone talking were the highly desirable and covetable silver brogues, that adapted throughout the show to suit each outfit perfectly.

Already a big fan of Rocha's brogues, Style Bubble took some beautiful photographs of the new season shoes, which you can see below. Neon perspex, black ponyskin, metallic leather, and ladylike tweed took their shape to form wearable boyish pumps and lace-ups. 

J.W. Anderson

Fashion brand J.W Anderson is a name to watch this year. The British Fashion Council's NEWGEN sponsorship programme, supported by Topshop has been offering financial and mentoring help to promising designers since 1993. Yesterday it was announced that the 17 recipients of NEWGEN's sponsorship included up and coming names; David Koma, Louise Gray, Holly Fulton and Michael van der Ham. J.W Anderson has received a presentation sponsorship, with the likes of Christopher Raeburn, Craig Lawrence, Dominic Jones and Nasir Mazhar.
