Rodarte, New York Fashion Week AW11

It was all prairie chic at Rodarte yesterday, with these pretty creations that are designed by sisters, Kate and Laura Mulleavy. It was all about layering- full length skirts with long coats, and pretty pinafore tops with high waisted trousers made of intersecting panels. The overall effect was folky and serene, with models gliding down the catwalk in the setting of one of Chelsea's most prestigious art galleries. The Rodarte girl this season is graceful and calm, with beautifully unkempt hair, exuding a 70's charm and nostalgia. Images: Getty and Reuter.
