Sir Terence Conran The Way We Live Now Exhibition at the Design Museum

Yesterday I had the chance to go to the Terence Conran exhibition at the Design Museum at Shad Thames, which is on until the 12th April 2012. Marking Conran's 80th birthday, the exhibition explores the impact his designs had on contemporary life in Britain, from early Habitat days to more recent restaurant ventures such as the Albion. The Way We Live Now charts Conran's impact and legacy beginning with his career in post-war austerity, to the Festival of Britain in 1951, onto the birth of the Independent Group and the Pop Culture of the swinging sixties, and then to the present day with recession busted Habitat and the blooming The Conran Shop.
